It arrived on an ordinary Tuesday afternoon — a dozen red roses, given with love. Five days later, they were gone. Petals browning at the edges, stems bowing in clouded water. I was carrying them to the trash — and with them, something that had meant so much.
Why should the most meaningful gestures in our lives come with an expiration date?
A Question That Wouldn't Leave
That question followed us — through seasons, through gifts given and received, through every bouquet that faded before the feeling did. It carried us, eventually, to the rose fields of Ecuador, where roses grow slowly at high altitude, drinking equatorial light, opening into blooms of extraordinary size and depth.
There we found our answer: a gentle preservation process that replaces a flower's natural moisture with a plant-based solution, allowing each bloom to stay soft, supple, and alive-looking for a year or more. Real roses, taught how to stay. That was the beginning of Vellarose Floria.
A House Built on Beauty
Vellarose Floria is a quiet rebellion against the idea that beauty should be disposable. Every rose we use is hand-selected at the peak of its bloom from the finest farms in Ecuador, preserved with care, and finished by our studio in a palette we have spent years refining: ivory, champagne, dusty rose, sage, midnight, ruby, and more than twenty shades beyond.
Before an arrangement reaches your door, it has been touched by more than a dozen pairs of careful hands — growers, harvesters, preservationists, colorists, composers, finishers. No shortcuts. No mass production. Only craft.
